Deadlines to Remember!

• February 1 through April 1, 2010 ONLY - Applications DUE to the Administration Building of the RESIDENT district
• May 3, 2010 - Notification of acceptance of acceptance
• June 1, 2010 - Parent/Guardian MUST formally accept or reject acceptance into the program.
• June 15, 2010 - Student MUST be formally registered at the choice school.

What is VILLA?  Villa is an event that has been in existence for many, many years at Jefferson.  Many high schools have a similar events, some host the event after graduation, some after prom. Jefferson has VILLA after graduation. The purpose of VILLA is to keep our students safe on a night when their youthful exuberance might help them make poor decisions about the way they choose to celebrate graduation.  

VILLA usually begins before 9:00 PM on graduation day and ends around 3:00 AM.  The graduates play games, win prizes, and eat tons of food! There is usually some form of entertainment like a hypnotist, palm reader, photo booth, a DJ and many more things to help graduates celebrate responsibly. 

Parents of current Juniors and Seniors work throughout the year to earn money for this event. Please consider helping this organization by supporting them in their fund raising efforts.

The Monroe County Health Department is offering free H1N1 vaccinations to everyone in the community who wishes to be protected from this illness. The more people that can be vaccinated, the better protected the community will be against the H1N1 virus. Do the right thing; get vaccinated and protect your neighbor.
